Community Service

✅Bob has served as a member of the Auburn Salvation Army Advisory Board, and as Chair of the Board of Trustees for the Sutter Auburn Faith Hospital Foundation.  He is a former member of the Auburn Rotary Club, where he was a Paul Harris Fellowship Major Donor, and served as a member of the Board of Directors, Membership Chair, and Newletter Editor.

✅Bob served as a Judge Pro Temp for the Placer County Peer Court (also known as the teen court).

✅At Christmas time, Bob works with the Rotary Club and the Salvation Army, serving as one of the Christmas Santa’s who bring toys to the homes of needy children in the Auburn area.  He also served as Santa for the annual Rotary Dinner for the women and children in the local Women’s Shelter.

✅Bob is frequently invited to serve as a guest speaker, or to conduct workshops at churches throughout California and Nevada.

✅Bob is a member of the Auburn Chamber of Commerce, and is a graduate of “Leadership Auburn, Class of 2001.  ✅He served as the elected class speaker for the Leadership Auburn Graduation Dinner.
✅Vice President and Board Member for Auburn Area Habitat for Humanity.
✅Board Member for “Caring About Kids,” a non-profit youth mentoring organization.
✅Program Co-Chair of the Business Litigation and Counseling Section of the Sacramento County Bar Association.
✅President and Camp Chaplain for the Nevada County Camp of Gideons International.
✅Past member of Kiwanis and Elks.
✅Cub Scout Den Leader, then, Scoutmaster of Boy Scout Troop 787.
✅District Chair, Gold Country District of the Boy Scouts of America.
✅Member of the Advisory Board for Truckee River Bank (which later became Bank of the West).
✅Bob and his wife, Suzi, served as weekend team leaders for Presbyterian Marriage Encounter.
✅Member of the MENSA Society.
✅Ten-year Member of the National Speakers Association.
✅Hosted a radio talk show on KNCO Radio called, “The Crusade for the Middle Class,” which addressed the legal and political issues challenging middle class American Families.

✅Bob has served as a Deacon, an Elder, and as Superintendent of Sunday Schools for the Presbyterian Church.
✅While Chairman of the Christian Education Commission, Bob helped to build the Christian Education Wing of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Eugene, Oregon.
✅Bob’s wife, Suzi, served as the Christian Education Director for Sierra Presbyterian Church in Nevada City, California.
✅Bob and his wife served as team leaders for Presbyterian Marriage Encounter Retreats.  They also led a week-long back-packing, mountain-climbing, and marriage enrichment trek for church couples in the Desolation Wilderness.
✅Bob served as a speaker at the National Conference of the Christian Legal Society.
